I’ve always considered my writing a ministry. Though I love to hear comments like, “I couldn’t put your book down” or “I felt like I was right there with your characters.” Comments like these tell me I’ve succeeded in entertaining readers. But it’s reader feedback like the message below I received recently that warms my heart the most.

“I’m re-reading Beyond These War Torn Lands, & about to finish it. It is rare that I read a book again after I’ve finished it. BUT…It’s funny how the Lord works. Today has been one year since my Grandma died. And this was the last book we had shared a chat about. I just remembered that.
The reason I’m messaging you is because I wanted to thank you for your faithfulness in writing this story. I’m at the part where Drew is telling Caroline that she needs to make amends with her father. The Lord has used it this morning to speak to a situation in my life that has proven incredibly difficult (& similar-but-different to Caroline’s situation).
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. And to encourage you in your gifting. The Lord is certainly using you to bring Him glory.” ~ A Reader

I can’t tell you how special this reader feedback was to me. There is nothing that motivates me to keep writing more than to know the Lord is using the words and stories He gives me to touch readers hearts! Such a huge blessing!
**Are you involved in a ministry that brings joy to your heart to know you’re helping someone else? I’d love to hear about it.
