Under Prairie Skies, Book 2 in my Prairie Sky Series is set to release on April 10th. So I thought, rather than my usual end-of-the-month Book Review, I would give a sneak peek into its theme and characters.

While Book 1, Under This Same Sky, is more Becky Hollister’s journey back to faith in the wake of extreme hardship, with an unexpected romance woven in, Book 2 in the series is more relational in nature.

Under Prairie Skies’ key verse, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another,” (Proverbs 27:17) gives clue to the challenges surrounding lead characters, Chad and Charlotte.

Feisty and head-strong Charlotte Stanton is about to meet her match in ruggedly handsome newcomer Chad Avery. When Chad exposes Charlotte’s inner flaws, her first reaction is to have nothing more to do with him, but as she searches her heart, she realizes the one who needs changing is herself.

Drawn to Chad’s quiet strength, Charlotte becomes enamored with this attractive, would-be cattleman, only to discover he has a raw spot on his own heart that needs mending. As iron sharpens iron, the Lord uses them to mold and shape each other, spurring them to let go of their fears and insecurities and embrace the goodness the Lord has in store for them.

Join Chad and Charlotte on their journey toward love and wholeness in Under Prairie Skies, releasing April 10th with Mantle Rock Publishing. If you haven’t yet read Book One: Under This Same Sky, you’ll want to be sure to read it prior to this second novel to gain a richer understanding of the story and characters.
